Supreme Court Reinstates Trump Era Water Rule

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court reinstated the Trump-era water rule for now that curtails the power of states and Native American tribes to block pipelines and other projects that can pollute various waterways like rivers, streams and more. The court is halting a lower court ruling and sending it back to the EPA. While the Biden Administration has said it intends to rewrite the rule, a final rule is not expected until 2023. The Trump-era rule will remain in effect until then.
