(WASHINGTON D.C.)– Nationwide corn condition improved slightly while soybean and spring wheat conditions decreased slightly according to the latest USDA Crop Progress report for the week ended July 28th, 2024.
Corn was rated 68% good to excellent, up one point from last week nationwide. Soybeans were rated 67% good to excellent, down one point from last week’s rating. Both crops were still well ahead of last year’s ratings of 55% and 52% good to excellent respectively.
Spring wheat conditions nationwide fell three percentage points to now stand at 74% good to excellent as of Sunday. That is still well ahead of last year’s 42% good to excellent rating for this same week in 2023. Winter wheat harvest also reached 82% complete this week.
