La Rue Joins American Ag Network

(FARGO, ND) – Award winning broadcast journalist Corryn La Rue has joined the team at American Ag Network as farm broadcaster and content specialist.

“Corryn is the right hire at the right time for our team,” according to Farm and Ranch Director Jesse Allen. “As we continue to expand our media offerings to our farmer and rancher audience, we were looking for someone who possessed the drive and skills to help our team move forward to the next level. Corryn was the perfect addition to our growing team.”

As the 2023 NAFB Horizon Award winner, La Rue brings a diverse agricultural background to her reporting along with boots on the ground experience to deliver the stories that matter.

“In my years reporting, I’ve covered a wide swath of the agriculture industry in America,” said Corryn La Rue. “From the rich breadbasket in the west, across the Rockies, through the plains, and up the steps of the White House. In all four U.S. time zones I’ve come to the same conclusion; the lack of fundamental journalistic coverage of the agriculture industry is startling. I’m happy to be joining a team that prioritizes fair and accurate reporting on the people, practices, and policies which create and bolster food for much of the world.”

“With Corryn’s deep roots in Ag and her already amazing start to her broadcasting career, she is clearly a great addition to our team,” says Breck Von Bank, SVP and General Manager. “She brings such energy and creativity to her work, I know she will be an asset to both our clients and listeners.”

La Rue will take over as the primary voice of the American Ag Network on-air product along with producing a wide range of digital content for American Ag Network and its partner brands Agriculture of America and Market Talk.

“Our number one goal is to provide agricultural content that has value and resonates with our audience,” according to Allen. “As media offerings continue to evolve, we will continue to meet our audience where they are each day. That may be radio, podcast, video, social media or all of the above. Our team has a lot of exciting things in store in the weeks to come and the addition of Corryn is just the beginning. Stay tuned!”

La Rue hails from a family deeply rooted in agriculture, with ancestors who were Oregon Trail settlers and pioneers of the California cattle industry. She carries on this legacy as an award-winning journalist, excelling in both audio and video production.

Previously, La Rue served as the White House Correspondent and Washington D.C. Bureau Chief for RFD-TV. In 2020, she received the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) Mark of Excellence Award for Television In-Depth Reporting. La Rue attended Utah State University, where she was an active member of Alpha Chi Omega. Fun fact: She’s directly related to the inventor of the Ferris Wheel.
