(NASHVILLE, TN) — It is hard to believe that Election Day 2024 is already here. What seems like a political cycle that has lasted forever in my mind is finally coming to a close with millions of Americans casting their ballots for local, state and national office…..including who will sit in the Oval Office for the next four years.
Now, I am someone who tries to stay neutral when it comes to politics. I am not a political pundit. I am not a talk show host who thrives off controversy and commentary. I tend to keep my leanings and beliefs close to the vest with the reason being I don’t have time to deal with the divisive, heated rhetoric that has engulfed many of our every day lives. I choose not to go down those rabbit holes but rather I try to remain a neutral journalist.
But when it comes to this election, there is one thing that I am very passionate about. Please make sure to get out and make your voice heard. Make sure to get out and vote.
I still believe in fair elections. I believe in our electoral system. I still believe that every American, no matter what our beliefs and differences are, can still have civil conversations about politics and other heated matters with one another. And I also believe that we are working through one of the most historic times in our lifetime.
So with all that in mind, please make sure to cast your vote for whatever candidates you prefer. I also hope you make an informed decision on who you vote for as well. From the top down, make your voice heard. Don’t stay home and stay silent. We all have a civic duty to participate and make a decision as an entire country.
